Our Story

Every movement begins with a question. For us, it was simple — yet powerful: How can I help? What started as a wave of emotions — helplessness, sadness, and frustration over the realities of gender-based violence in Kenya — transformed into action. Instead of asking “Why is this happening?” we asked, “What can we do?”
And that question changed everything.

How It Began

Our Story: From a Chance Meeting to a Global Mission:

The Einstein Grace Foundation was born from a single, life-changing question asked halfway across the world.

In March 2023, Dr. Elena Einstein—a Director of Contracts and Grants in the aerospace industry with over 20 years of experience and a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership—attended the Women’s Leadership and Empowerment Conference in Bangkok. It was there she met Leah Nyalobo, a visionary leader dedicated to rescuing survivors of gender-based violence in Kenya.

Moved by Leah’s story of resilience, Elena asked a simple but profound question: “How can I help?”

The #GiveHope Campaign

Building a Foundation for Sustainable Change

What began as a GoFundMe campaign quickly evolved as Elena and her husband, Robert Einstein, realized the magnitude of the need. As a CEO of UMe Credit Union, Robert recognized the importance of financial literacy and economic stability in breaking the cycle of poverty.

Together, they combined their professional strengths—Elena’s expertise in grant management and organizational leadership, and Robert’s experience in financial stewardship—to establish the Einstein Grace Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Their mission is to ensure that every dollar donated is managed with the same rigour and transparency found in the industries they lead.
